General Information
Visas
A foreign citizen who wishes to enter the Kingdom of Thailand must have a valid passport and is required to obtain a visa from a Royal Thai Embassy or a Royal Thai Consulate-General in the participant’s country. For more information, please visit a website below.
Letter of invitation
The Secretariat is pleased to issue an official invitation letter for a participant to attend the conference as per request. This may assist her/him to get an appropriate visa. However, such invitation document does not imply any responsibility or liability on behalf of the conference organizers for travel or other expenses.
Currency
Thailand currency is “Baht, THB”. Denominations are 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1,000 notes; 1, 5, and 10 Baht-coin.

Currency exchange is available at banks, hotels and downtown department stores. For the bank, official hour of service starts at 08:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday, whereas the department stores open around 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. ATMs which honor international cards are widely available.
Electricity
Electrical voltage/frequency in Thailand is 220 volts/50 cycles AC. Most electrical outlets are two-pronged, with small, rounded prongs and no ground.
Climate
Thailand is situated in tropical zone. The climate in October is fine with temperature about 30oC or 88oF.
Liability and insurance
The Organizing Committee is not responsible for any liability of loss, damage, injury, etc incurring from accident, illness, whatever causes, that may occur during the period of the conference. Appropriate travel, accident and health insurances are strongly recommended.
Health regulations and required vaccinations
Yellow fever vaccinations are required for participants arriving from infected areas and endemic zones. Please check the latest regulations at your local Health Office.
Credit cards
Credit cards, including American Express, Diners Club, Visa, and Master Card are accepted by hotels, department stores, and restaurants.
Airport
Most airlines have regular flights to Suvarnabhumi International Airport which is 30 kilometers eastward east of Bangkok. There are two domestic airports. In case domestic travel is planned, please be sure whether your flight takes off either from Suvarnabhumi International Airport or Don Muang Airport.
