Philosophy and Significance of the Program

This program aims to produce master graduates who have knowledge and expertise in food and nutritional toxicology. The graduates are able to perform research about toxicity and safety of food in daily living. They are able to apply and ethically transfer the knowledge to people regarding how to consume food and nutritional products safely for good health and nutrition. The expertise in this field plays a key role in consumer protection on food and nutritional aspects and supports the improvement in quality of life.

Objectives of the Curriculum

After completion of the program, the graduates are able to

  1. Live and work with adherence to moral rules and ethics.
  2. Apply key knowledge and practice in food and nutritional toxicology for performing research and making judgment on scientific evidences.
  3. Work with others as a team and be responsible for their own jobs.
  4. Communicate with appropriate technologies and transfer knowledge regarding how to consume food and nutritional products safely for good health and nutrition.

Career opportunities after graduated

  1. Officers in food and drug administration (FDA), department of health or other departments in ministry of health, ministry of agriculture and cooperatives, ministry of industry, food processing plants or other related organizations
  2. Faculties and researchers in universities, which focus on biomedical sciences, biological sciences, food sciences and nutrition
  3. Advisors to public, private or international organizations which focus on research and health promotion

Eligible Applicants

  1. Graduated or about to graduate a bachelor degree in sciences with 4-year-program from a domestic or international university approved by the office of higher education, Thailand.
  2. GPA of at least 2.50
  3. Applicants without the qualification 1 or 2 may be eligible to apply in case by case basis, depending on the determination of program director and dean of graduate school.
